  1. Your job search website focusing on sports journalism is strong. It is easy to follow and very clear. I think you might want to add a ‘special’ idea to the pitch and expand on it briefly. The mentor idea is great because it is forming relationships and I think your pitch needs to call out that your website is unique! Perhaps if you distinguish your website by saying it is a community and creates bonds between those in the field (something that really gets people excited) it will stand alone. Also, are users going to have a profile or something that shares information across groups? Love the idea, I think it is a define ‘need’ you just might want to expand on the personal side of the site (I think this will help grab your audience!)

  2. It might work if your website is to focus on "Sport Girls" rather then a very general audience who may have many job hunting channels.

When the focus is smaller, the target could be bigger...

  3. Jen,
This is a really good niche idea. Sports journalism is a growth industry. I think there are so many sports stories to be done -- especially investigative. Having a one-stop database is a great idea for job-hunting AND for creating a network (I like Katherine's suggestions for building a community.)
